  • Long Time....

Wow. I haven't posted here since June 1, 2007, almost two years ago! I can't believe that. So much has happened since then (and much of it not good). And the sad thing is, my goal of blogging really didn't get that far off the ground. (I guess I just "fail at life.") I did make $26.00 way back then though. I still have yet to spend it though, it's just hanging around on my PayPal. I guess I should make it go towards school books or something, right? Seeing as how those things are crazy expensive. Speaking of which, school has been awful lately. Especially after everything with Grandpa. I feel like life has taken the biggest nose dive possible and I don't know if there's a way to recover. I'd go into more detail, but this really isn't the blog for my personal hardships, so I'll keep it sappiness free.

  • Approval....

So my account on Blogsvertise is approved, but I haven't gotten any advertisements yet.

But the good news is, Bloggerwave approved my first post! So I guess that means they'll be depositing $10.00 into my PayPal account near the end of the month. Woohoo! Okay, so it's not a lot. But it is something, and considering the price of gas right now, I think it's safe to say that it's worth it. I mean, what? It took me all of two minutes to type something up and then get $10.00 for it? That's sweet!

    Approvedly Yours,

  • About Me....

First off, as you may notice, I have a strange infatuation with the number four. (I also like threes.) I think this stems from one of my other loves, Charmed, the amazing former WB television show about three sisters who happen to be witches. It's kind of a long story, but the cliff notes version is, I have this theory that really good and really bad things tend to happen with threes and fours. For example, Charmed has three Charmed Ones but in the third season Prue dies and in the fourth season a fourth sister is revealed. I was born on April (the fourth month) 13th, and three plus one makes four. There are three Dixie Chicks and "Dubya" was the 43rd "president" of the United States. So back to my point, this is why I always end the titles of my entries with four periods.

Secondly, I'm a very closed off person in "real life," so I tend to obsess over my favorite things at home. This includes (as already mentiond) Charmed, Commander in Chief (Geena Davis is brilliant), Everwood, and One Tree Hill. I also love Will & Grace (but of course I missed the finale) and I enjoy House, CSI, Bones, and Law & Order. Personally, Law & Order: SVU is the best and the other ones just sort of, stink in comparison.

What I HATE is American Idol (it should die multiple times over and never come back) and 7th Heaven (good Goddess that show is TERRIBLE)!! Any and all offspring of AI are demon spawn.

Movies I love include Titanic, Brokeback Mountain, Legally Blonde, and Legally Blonde 2: Red, White, & Blonde. Chicago is perhaps the one musical exception that I watch and own.

I'm extremely interested in genealogy and if you're interested too, you can check out my TribalPages site here: http://mewiet.tribalpages.com/?userid=mewiet

Speaking of which, I found out from my Uncle Lance that I should be expecting a new baby cousin! I don't know when, or what gender yet, but it's very exciting. All of my life I only knew my once cousin, Alicia, who's a year and four days younger than I am. Then I recently met Uncle Lance (I didn't know about him until recently) and his wife, my Aunt Juanita (she's from the Philippines) and their daughter, my three-year-old cousin Lillianna! She's adorable! I can't wait to find out about the new baby. *grin* And add him/her to my ever growing tree.

Speaking of family, I can't wait to have kids of my own. I want all girls and I already picked out names:

    1. Rose Forrestine May

    2. Scarlet Martorana May

    3. Clarity May

    4. Penelaby May

We may or may not (no pun intended) be able to hyphenate the last names, but as far as I'm concerned now, they're getting my last name, no ifs, ands, or buts about it.

I love white cheese pizza, cheese pizza with salt, Del Taco, McDonald's, Arby's, and most fast food unless it's Chinese or something, which always gives me an upset stomach. I'm a pig when it comes to eating out and I'll probably have some horrible healthy problems by the age of twenty-five (25) and the worst part is, I'm not even joking.

Anywhoville, I think I've covered what you need to know most about moi.

    Best Wishes,

    ~Camille~
  • Paid To Blog....

To start off, my name's Camille and I live in the U.S. Whew, interesting, I know! *sarcasm*

To be honest, I never signed up for Xanga before because I have a LiveJournal and a MySpace and just didn't think it was needed. Too bad, too, because I've been talking to my Uncle Lance the last few days and he told me about his my aunt, Juanita, has been getting paid to blog and she makes a nice little chunk of money every month. Since I'm online all the time anyway, he thought I might be interested, so he sent me some links.

The downside? Well, you have to have a blog that's at least ninety (90) days old and, *sigh* have at least twenty (20) entries already. So I guess I must start from scratch since it doesn't appear that LiveJournal or my MySpace blogs count. But hey, if they do, I'll jump at the chance.

But there you have it. This is me and this is why I'm here at Xanga, for the cash. (Can't live without it, right?)

    Until next time,

    ~Camille~
